This site is designed to showcase my talents and interests to a broader audience. My primary interests incorporate utility with technology, what this means is that if I find something useful, for example: a house, I’ll use available technology to optimize it’s performance.
Here are a couple of examples of when I used technology to optimize a house. 1. using a high efficiency furnace to increase energy efficiency and allow the brickwork chimney to be removed from the roof. This saves money and simplifies home maintenance. 2. Choosing siding products: Vinyl is a solid choice if needing to balance cost of goods and ease of installation but if additional fire resistance is needed, I may opt to spend a bit more and install cement fiberboard instead.
So to emphasize – I care about things that have use (utility) and use technology to improve or optimize them.
The following are the two most important categories I like to spend my time on: housing and transportation. So the content of this site will reflect those priorities of mine.
